Scott brothers earn Academic All-State from IHSFCA

Aurora Central Catholic Seniors Andrew and Tyler Scott, both added to their list of accomplishments, by being named Academic All-State by the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association. To qualify for the award, recipients must be a member of the Varsity team, be named 1st Team All-Conference by the conference coaches, and have a GPA of a 3.5 (or 4.5, on a 5.0 scale) or better.

Andrew Scott was named 1st Team All-Conference by the coaches in the Suburban Christian Conference as a Linebacker. He currently is ranked first amongst the senior class. Andrew is also among the 20 Illinois finalists for the Wendy's High School Heisman, which combines academic and athletic succcess. Scott intends on majoring in Business in college, and is still undecided on an institution.

Tyler Scott was also named 1st team All-Conference by the S.C.C. coaches also as a Linebacker. Tyler currently ranks sixth in the Class of 2010. Tyler led the ACC Defense with 80 tackles on the season, including 2 sacks. Scott will major in Agriculture in college, at a school still to be determined.
