Football Faces Grace the Walls of NFT

Posted Thursday, May 06, 2010 by Brian Casey
Faces that typically hide behind a helmet and facemask  are now on display for all to see at National Fitness and Tan on Oak St. in North Aurora. ACC Football Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Co-Owner of National Fitness and Tan, Dan Gunderson, has turned the entrance of the fitness center into an ACC Football shrine.

With the 2nd Annual ACC Lift-A-Thon less than a month away, the mugs of the ACC Football players along with a brief biography have been assembled, allowing patrons of the community a chance to meet the 2010 Charger Football Team.

"It is a great way to our program out into the community, and allow people to show their support" Head Football Coach Brian Casey said. "Coach Dan (Gunderson) has done an outstanding job with our kids in only a short time, and this just continues to show his dedication and commitment towards making our kids and program elite."

The display also gives the opportunity for NFT patrons to sponsor an ACC student-athlete for $25. Members of the Aurora Central Catholic Varsity Football Team will be making apperances in the late afternoon from now through the May 20th Lift-A-Thon.

The bio's and display will be up through May 20th. To sponsor an ACC student-athlete, stop by National Fitness and Tan at 1175 Oak St., North Aurora, IL  60542.

The 2nd Annual ACC Lift-A-Thon will be held on Thursday, May 20th in the gymnasium, beginning at 5:00 p.m. All parents, families, friends, sponsors, and fans are encouraged to attend.
